DESCRIPTION:

The Pacific Islander Tug Boat is a READY TO RUN boat and is 36 inches in length with great width and depth.  Its powered by 2 powerful 550 electric motors with gear reduction.  2 four bladed brass props are included with Kort Nozzles that direct the force of the water behind the boat but also act as rudders.

We've tested these and found the boats pulling/pushing power to be incredible.  VERY powerful and easy to maneuver boat.

A new transmitter and receiver is included along with a pre-installed electronic speed controller.

BATTERY AND CHARGER ARE NOT INCLUDED.

The performance of this model on the water is outstanding due to the large twin Kort nozzles and brass 4 bladed propellers. The twin engine props within the dual Kort nozzles direct the thrust like a jacuzzi.  The Pacific Islander is perfectly at home for  RC steering, and tug towing competitions.

The Pacific Islander has a removable superstructure that reveals a hatch that hides the on/off switch and battery compartment.  The combing for this hatch prevents water from coming in.

We are not a fan of "fair weather" boats that must be sailed in calm waters to keep from sinking or filling full of water.  This Tug Boat will take a wave over the bow without issue.  We recommend you add a few pounds of lead shot ballast to put the boat to its scale water line and for heavy water/wind/wave action.

The bow thruster is cosmetic only and does not function.

The Pacific Islander is a incredibly detailed and high quality model.  Every fitting on the boat is in its correct place and the models scale wake and power will impress you.
